Kolase adalah sebuah teknik menempel berbagai macam unsur ke dalam satu frame sehingga menghasilkan karya seni yang baru. Dengan demikian, kolase adalah karya seni rupa yang dibuat dengan cara menempelkan bahan apa saja ke dalam satu komposisi yang serasi sehingga menjadi satu kesatuan karya. Kolase adalah kreasi aplikasi yang dibuat dengan menggabungkan teknik melukis (lukisan tangan) dengan menempelkan bahan-bahan tertentu. Dalam pembuatannya, kolase memerlukan kesabaran yang tinggi dan keterampilan dalam memadukan, menyusun, dan menempel bahan yang ada sehingga menjadi sebuah karya seni yang indah.<\/p>\n<p>Kolase juga menuntut kreativitas dan ide yang lebih sulit dibanding dengan pembuatan karya seni rupa yang lain. Karena di dalam pembuatan kolase, pembuat dituntut untuk memiliki, mencari, dan menemukan bahan yang khusus dan cocok untuk membuat kolase, kemudian bagaimana cara memadukan antara bahan yang satu dengan bahan yang lainnya.
